FAQ – Vacation Rentals in Guadeloupe: Everything You Need to Book your accommodation
Here are the answers to the most common questions guests ask before, during and after your stay in Guadeloupe or Marie-Galante. You can also contact us directly for personalised support.
Booking your stay
How can I find a villa or vacation rental in Guadeloupe?
Use our search engine on zewelcome.com. You can filter by dates, budget, destination (Saint-François, Sainte-Anne, Marie-Galante, etc.) or by amenities such as pool, sea view or air conditioning.
How do I know if a villa is available for my dates?
Our calendars are updated in real time. If your dates appear as available, you can book instantly using the “Book now” button. If you are unsure, feel free to contact us by phone, email or WhatsApp for confirmation.
How do I book a rental on ZeWelcome?
Choose an available property, click “Book”, enter your details and pay the 30% deposit. Your booking confirmation is sent instantly by email and WhatsApp, along with a summary of your stay.
When do I need to pay the remaining balance?
The remaining balance and the security deposit are due 30 days before the start of your stay, via secure payment link or bank transfer. You will receive a reminder before the deadline so you do not miss it.
Can I pay in several instalments?
Yes. You pay 30% at the time of booking, then the remaining balance 30 days before arrival. In some cases, we can also offer a custom payment plan by bank transfer, depending on your dates and the property selected.
What payment methods do you accept?
We currently accept:
– Credit card (secure payment link)
– Bank transfer
– Chèques-Vacances Connect (via the ANCV app)
Is ZeWelcome a trustworthy website?
Yes. ZeWelcome is one of the highest-rated vacation rental agencies in Guadeloupe, with an average score close to 4.9/5 based on several hundred verified reviews.
We personally visit every villa, check that the photos are accurate and guarantee in-person check-in on arrival, handled by a local team available 7 days a week. Our model is based on three pillars: transparency, security and human support.
Prices include all mandatory fees, payments are secure, the security deposit is not charged, and a local concierge remains available at all times to help you with any issue during your stay. You can read our guest reviews and our reviews on Google.
Arrival & stay
How does check-in work?
Your concierge will meet you directly at the property, hand you the keys and explain how the villa works. At ZeWelcome, check-in is always done in person: no lockboxes, but a human welcome with a smile and, in many villas, a complimentary refreshment on arrival.
When will I receive my concierge’s phone number?
You will receive your concierge’s phone number 14 days before your arrival. You can contact them from that moment to organise your arrival, ask questions about the villa or confirm specific amenities.
What is included in the villa when we arrive?
All our villas are ready to enjoy on arrival: bed linen and towels, Wi-Fi, fully equipped kitchen, working air conditioning and pool (when specified in the listing). A welcome kit is often provided. For the first days, some basic supplies (coffee pods, cleaning products, soap, etc.) may be available, depending on the property.
What time is check-in?
Check-in usually starts between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. Your concierge will adapt as much as possible to your flight schedule. Early check-in may be possible if there is no departure on the same day; this must be confirmed directly with your concierge before arrival.
What time is check-out?
Check-out is usually between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. A late check-out may be possible if the property is not booked again on the same day. In some villas, late check-out can even be offered when availability allows it; this should be arranged directly with your concierge during your stay.
What should I do if something goes wrong during my stay?
If you encounter a problem, contact your concierge or the ZeWelcome support team using the contact details in your booking. We are available 7 days a week for any urgent issue (technical problem, question about the house, assistance needed during your stay).
Payment & security deposit
Why is a security deposit required?
The security deposit covers potential damage during your stay. In the vast majority of cases, it is never used. When damage is reported, we always look for reasonable solutions and replacement at the fairest possible cost, so as not to penalise you unnecessarily.
When is the security deposit collected?
The deposit is requested 30 days before your arrival, at the same time as the remaining balance. You will receive a secure payment link or the information needed to make a bank transfer to our dedicated escrow account.
How does the security deposit work?
The deposit is usually secured through a pre-authorised credit card hold via a secure payment link. It is not charged, does not impact your available card limit, and is automatically released after your departure if no damage is reported. In some cases, it is also possible to pay the deposit by bank transfer to an escrow account.
House rules
Are pets allowed?
Some properties accept pets, others do not. You can use the “Pets allowed” filter in our search engine or ask us for confirmation before booking. Depending on the size and type of animal, owners may sometimes agree to exceptions.
Is smoking allowed in the rental?
Smoking is not permitted inside the properties. Outdoors (terrace, garden, balcony, etc.), smoking is generally allowed, subject to each villa’s specific rules and respect for neighbours.
Can I host an event at the villa?
Parties and events are generally not allowed without prior approval from the owner. For certain projects (small wedding, birthday, photoshoot, etc.), some villas may accept events on request. Please contact us with details of your project before booking.

Where are ZeWelcome villas located?
